Introduction

Welcome to Bare Barre™ — a course created to support a specific barre class format. This is not a new barre certification — the world already has plenty of those. Bare Barre™ is for already certified barre instructors who are ready to return to the essence of barre.

This training invites you to strip away the noise, props, and overly choreographed distractions, and reconnect with barre’s original purpose — from the feet up. Our feet are our foundation, and in this course, we treat them with the respect they deserve. You'll learn about the neurosensory system in the feet, the importance of fascia, and how to incorporate anti-gravity pelvic floor work rooted in Lotte Berk’s original Inner Spirit method.

You’ll also find renewed emphasis on balance and stretching, both of which are essential to a sustainable and effective practice. Through this training, you’ll not only deepen your anatomical knowledge but also gain practical tools for teaching barefoot, prop-free, fascia-aware movement with intention and integrity.

To receive recognition as a Bare Barre™ trained instructor, you must complete and pass a 30-question test (access granted after all lessons have been completed). To be considered a certified Bare Barre instructor, you must also submit and pass a practical exam (Bare Barre class example). Instructions and payment link ($25 testing fee) will be available after completion of test.
